Can Conned to Internet but IE can't find any sites

I'm stumped.
I can connect to my home network, but IE can't find any sites. I've tried simple addresses and enterend them correctly but IE can't find them.

Any suggestions?

Are you 'really' connected to your network. Does the WLAN utility so a valid IP on the Advanced page (it lkely will start 192.168)?

If this is OK, look at the Check these first part of the Troubleshooting section of the WiFi Guide for possible solutions.

I had exactly the same thing.

I am using NTL broadband (now Virgin), with the cable moden connected to a Netgear Hub and from there to a Netgear WiFi access point. First I had to downgrade my access point from WPA2 to WPA to get the Axim X51v to connect to the network. Also I had to shorten the password to 10 characters. Then I had to restart the network by powering on in the order of cable modem then hub then access point, and a soft reset on the Axim followed by turning on WiFi and entering the password to enable WPA.

Then I could ping my PC from the X51v but I could not access any web pages.

I fixed it by typing in the IP address of bbc.co.uk into the browser address field and it displayed the web page correctly. It was 212.58.224.131

From then on it worked out how to do it using domain names, and is now working fine. There must have been some DNS setting on my network that it couldn't work out.
