My Pharos GPS 360 works great with the X51 in the Bluetooth dock but I can't get it to connect using the CF slot adaptor or the cable. I don't know if I'm not using the right COM port or what. I've tried every combination and I can't find anything in the manuals. It seems that hard wired would be pretty simple so I must be making it more difficult. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same GPS and have been successfully using the CF adapter. It could be that you have a defective CF adapter. I would try calling Pharos, they may be able to help. Also, make sure that you don't have any COM ports assigned in setting/system/GPS.
