Serious problems - bordering on unusable

OK, so I'm going to list the multitude of problems I've been having. Any and all help would be appreciated. I have an Axim x51v, ROM A06.

1. When I turn on the PDA after >1 minute of it being off, the most I get is one click before it hangs for about 30 secs - 1 minute. After this period, it is fully usable. Since this kind of negates the whole "instant-on" premise, it's a big problem. What causes this delay, and how would I fix it? Also, would this be fixed by switching to A12 from A06? I'm thinking it's something like the registry for windows, and the startup folder is bloated. I'm currently running ~20 apps (not all at once, but they're all physically on the device), so that might be it. Eventually I'll have it down to around 10 or 15, max.

2. When I run VGAToggle, the process of switching BACK from VGA to QVGA, the device consistently will turn off, and never turn on again. If I press or hold down the power button, then I get a pure white screen. The only thing I can do is press the reset button, and try again. I think this may be a function of the wireless being on. Could the wireless being on be the problem? What are some other good (free) true VGA programs?

3. Occasionally, when I to turn on the wireless, it just doesn't. I'll try the hardware button double-push, it says that it is enabling, but then it just turns off again, and the next time I push the button, it asks to be enabled. In the software settings, the "TURN ON" button does nothing. Sometimes even a reset won't fix this. What's the deal? Possible fix by A06->A12?

4. Sometimes, in the middle of use, it will just stop and hang. I either have to wait a long time, or reset. What's going on?

Upgrade to A12 will fix a lot of your problems.
Magic button has a tendency to cause some of your listed problems as well.

I can relate to the lack of instant on and freezing up and the wifi issues. I found that disabling and re-enabling the Odyssey client will sometimes resolve the problem. I like it when wifi is enabled, but the LED does not flash and the Dell wifi utility says "Turn On". I have tried running just the default load with no third party apps and quickly encountered slow system performance issues. This is my fourth Axim (2 X50'S and on my 2nd X51. Running A012.
