Serial ports don't work?? "no bluetooth serial ports could be found for device"

I have Alltel BT ready Razr phone that supports almosta ll profiles.

With the latest stack the phone gets detected but the SERIAL ports (7 and 8) aren't working right...

Every time I try to dial a number through my PDA, it says "no bluetooth serial ports could be found for device"

THe pairing of the phone was just fine though...

What do I do?

I just now did some research and found out that Alltel Razr support all BT features EXCEPT for audio and SERIAL PORTS!!!

See, when I use the stack on the phone, it comes out with a list of possible connections.

It comes out with OBEX and DUN, but not serial ports.... GRR!

BUT, it does DETECT my phone via COM 8 port...but I guess its because its outgoing?
Was it the same for your laptop? Did you fix that issue?

I don't know if I can dial numbers with OBEX...

um... that laptop broke with the issue unresolved... *laughes uneasily* but I think all I'd have to do is use device-manager to install more com-ports. I did that in the past for a modem that needed a COM and didn't ahve any.

I am not sure it can be done for a phone... installing extra serial ports that is...
