I am at my wit's end trying to get my Axim X51 to sync with Vista Business. I just get an ERROR message. I have uninstalled/reinstalled WMDC a number fo times, uninstall/reinstall drivers in device manager and cannot get them to work together. It is Dell laptop and tech support could offer no help-just wait for a patch sometime in the future. I see others have had problems but got it working. I have tried soft resets, hard resets, check ROM versions, just about everything under the sun but no luck. The laptop does see it as I can browse Axim's files, but as far as setting a sync relationship nothing but ERROR. Wish Vista gave an explanation of what the error was, but no.

What version of OUTLOOK are you running?
If it is OFFICE 2007, try running Office Diagnostics - click on Help, Office Diagnostics. If it is OUTLOOK 2003 or earlier, try a SCANPST or Detect and Repair.

I had the same problem until I uninstalled the trial version of Microsoft's OneCare. It ran like a peach after that.
