Question downgrade before sending?

I have to send my x51v in for warranty (CMOS battery died, have to reset date/time every time I change the battery)... they have already sent me the replacement. Should I downgrade from A17 (cooked) to Dell's A12 before sending back to them?

No, I'm sure the Dell engineers won't report that you've voided your warranty by flashing a non-standard image to your device and therefore charge you for their time and the new device they just sent you....

The answer is yes by the way.

I'm fine with the sarcasm... :approve: no worries here, and I wasn't being judgmental... though things like that are hard to discern over a message board.

on a side note... how do you import .reg files into axim registry? is there a way?

If you get a copy of Total Commander 2 beta (freeware) it allows you to copy bit in and out of the registry in the same way you would copy files. Just go into the \\Plugins\registry directory, while using one of the two-window modes, and you can copy keys out of the registry to create .reg files or copy .reg files in to import them. It is most useful and as I said it is completely free.

Sorry for the sarcasm, it was meant in jest but I realise now it was a bit harsh.

As for the avatar it is part of an old "public service announcement" style picture which had the subtitle of "Please do not push other passengers in front of oncoming trains." Very useful advice to avoid some hassle in these troubled times...

I figured that's what the avatar meant. I was in the UK between '79 and '81 maybe it's a subconscious memory.
