Question TFT doesn't respond, not sure what to do...

After about two years of use, one day i powered on my x50v, but the screen wouldn't respond. It had worked fine the last time I used it, and nothing traumatic happened to it meanwhile. have read here about cracked cases, etc, but my screen shows no visible signs of damage. Soft reboot, hard reboot, and now I'm forever stuck at the alignment screen. Is it the digitizer? It's just not clear to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Honestly I did that same thing myself when I powered on after long delayed usage. I'm staring at the alignment screen wondering why it's not responding. I tried a hard reset but the buttons wouldn't work to do that. I had given it up as a lost cause when the next day it occured to me to check the lock switch. That was it.
