X51 no response from buttons/tft

hi all,
I have x51 that stopped responding some time ago. Unit is working fine except for input - buttons do not respond, touchscreen does not respond.

Looks like it is in "permanent LOCK mode". Lock switch is OFF by the way.

Hard reset procedure initiates, but since buttons do not respond - I have no way of confirming that I want to clear all the data - which tells me that buttons actually work - but the LOCK mode is on.
I took it apart and checked the lock switch - works fine - so my guess is that the problem is in the chip controlling LOCK mode or in the connection between lock switch and the chip.

Any ideas where to go next? Anyone had the same issue?

One more thing - I took battery out for 24h - but did not help, I took it out immediately for another 24h and everything worked back again but only for 4 days. It is is that "lock mode" again.

I had the same problem with my buttons but not the touch screen.
I ended up getting a replacement unit from DELL. Do you have warranty?

Nope, not any more. Even if I had one - I already took my axim apart - that voids warranty.
