Gents,

Anyone of you have experienced the Warning of battery latch was open, even the latch is still lock?? I'm still figuring out what causes the warning to come on and turn off the system until giving it a shake here and there to turn the system on again.

Is there a way to secure the battery latch?? Pls help:(

I had the "latch" problem.

I tried getting a new door from Dell and using the " drop of glue on the door leg" solution. Neither worked for me.
Finally, I wadded up a small piece of paper and placed it in the hole where the door leg fit and that solved my problem.

A tech @ dell told me that over time the battery will swell and cause this annoying message. I just installed a new battery today and I have yet to get that"battery latch was opened"message. :)
