No, I never tampered with the BIOS. But anyhow, the problem is that I CANNOT make it reboot any way but soft. I have tried all sorts of gyrations, but always a soft reboot. So I cannot load anmything on ther SD card.
Any suggestions welcome.

My X51v does the exact same thing. None of my buttons are stuck etc. No matter what I do, it only performs a soft reset. The white screen that prompts the user to hit the 'Contacts' button flashes on the screen for a split-second, then it soft resets. I have never tried an update from A06, so in my case, it is not a failed attempt.

Yes, but HOW do you install a BIOS upgrade when you cannot ever make the unit do a hard boot? Is there something like boot.ini in Windows that you can alter? In desperation I even tried copying the Clear Storage program from WM6. It doesn't work either.

A final note. After sending out my beloved Axim to PocketPC Technicians (they couldn't fix it)- I decided to circumvent the problem. Using a $30 Bluetooth adaptor I was able to sync to Vista. May be stuck with A06 but at least I can use my PPC at last. Thanks everybody for your suggestions.

Unable to flash my X51v using USB cable
Hi there,
I am unable to flash my axim using USB cable. Was trying to search for the IMG2NBOF.exe program to convert the original A12 IMG file to NBO file but unable to find it. Would appreciate it very much if you can send the IMG2NBOF.exe file to me to revive my x51v. Pls. help !
Thank you very much,

I found the conversion program, put in the A12 IMG file and it spit out a nb0 file. I formatted (FAT32) an SD card and put that file and the same file with the name changed to add the .CRC onto the SD card. When I try the reboot I press the wireless button on the side, and I get a message "Error finding the shortcut or locating the target filename". Rebooting despite this error just yields the same old soft reboot. Did I do the right thing by just renaming the nb0 file or is there another file I need from somewhere? Is there something missing so that pressing the wireless button causes an error, and is this relevant?
So much appreciated!

If you Altavista IMG2NB0F.exe (That's "ZERO" F) instead of IMG2NBOF.exe ("OH" F), the download will amazingly appear.
(Sure, you could Google it . . . but everyone uses that and they've gotten too big for their britches)
