Aximsitesoftwareicon How to enable screensaver

I know this should be easy to find, but after 1 hour I still can't work it out.

How do you turn on the screensaver in an x51?

Ideally I want the Axim to run a specified clock application when not touched for 5 minutes (whilst in the cradle). But even a bitmap displayed after 5 minutes would be a good start!

Any ideas?

A screen saver is quite unnecessary on a TFT display. It will not burn in even at
maximum brightness.

SPB Time and SPB Mobile Shell can do that for you. I've bought and used both. There are several freeware options as well though they're not really screensavers more like clock apps. I haven't really followed the screensaver app I used with WM2003SE to see if it works with WM5 or 6. If you'd like to try it click here. give me a minute to find the link ;) Pocket Candy at Freeware Pocket PC let us know if it works.

I've installed PocketCandy screensaver.

It had to go into main memory (wouldn't work on the SD or CF card).
The screen savers can be any .exe file that lives in your /windows directory, except the .exe files must be renamed to .scr files.

To get my iPhone look alike screensaver/clock going, I'd have to install slide.exe to /windows (and rename it to slide.scr). I'm going to try to rename slide.lnk to slide.scr and see what happens (except I'm having actice sync probs - I always have activesync probs)

I second the nomination of SPB time. Sure its $$$ ware, but but it does the job better than anything else. I will actually let you run a slideshow behind a partially translucent clock as a screensaver. If you don't mind shelling out some $$$ then this is the way to go if you dig the transitioning slideshow clock thing.
