Aximsitebluetoothicon Bluetooth blues

:rolling:
Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop, Windows Vista Home Premium.
Anycomm Bluetooth 250 dongle, latest drivers
Dell Axim 51V with the bluetooth stack from axim site. ROM version a12, wm5

I have searched and searched, no joy. Want to use my laptop internet connection to connect my Axim to the internet via bluetooth. Is it possible?

I have been able to Active Sync via bluetooth.

I have tried the guides listed on the site, as well as others, but they are for WinXP. Is this why Vista stinks up the joint???

If you can sync then you should be able to use the internet. I have this setup on both my work pc (WinXP) and home pc (Vista). Possibly are they using a Proxy on the work PC? if so then you have to set up the pda to use the proxy.

I bought an Acer from Circuit City in August 2007. It's been fine...not very fond of Vista...but life goes on. Today I got the Blue Screen of Death... I contact support because I have a 2 year warranty. They tell me I have to send my laptop to Tx and they'll have it back to me in 7-10 business days. Are they insane? Yes. Real companies have local tech support to whom they can send a hard drive in a day and have me back up and running in less than 48 hours. Do yourself a favor...buy from HP, Dell, heck buy a MAC...not an acer!!!
