WPA not working

I just changed to a Residential Gateway which connects to the computer via wireless. Of course, that busted the heck out of my Linksys, which was working fine with WEP on my x51v. Now the 2wire RG is WPA, and if I try to change it to WEP and a simple key, both computers in the house cannot connect to it. They work fine with WPA.

The x51v just keeps trying to connect. Both Odyssey and WLAN don't work. It appears they connect, try to share keys, and then never get associated.

The RG says we have a good connection, but never get any bars on the x51v.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

try changing aes or tkip to auto if available.

i would first disable any security and verify connectivity with all devices. then impliment wpa or wpa2 (much better) and again, if available, set everything to auto. then verify settings and passwords on all devices are the same and check connections

I'm interested in answers to this issue as well since I have not been able to get WPA to work either. WEP works fine, but when trying to connect using WPA, my x51v just *appears* to be connecting but in reality never actually does since I get no bars either.

I've been able to use WPA with my X51v that has Socket WiFi on it. I can't get WPA2 to work, it connects, but no bars. I've got a Linksys Wireless-N router that seems to work better with my Axim than my old Netgear G router.

wpa works if you use the odyssey client. It won't work through the windows mobile wireless configuration tool.

:scratch_h

Should know: My X50v is connected to a WRT54G with WPA-PSK/TKIP and works fine - in powersave mode
AND without Odyssey :)
