Random Battery Discharge

I have an Axim x51v

I will full charge my battery at night, then grab it off the craddle, turn it off and go out for the day. A few hours later, I will go to use it, and the battery will have drained and I can feel the heat like it was running, though I never turned it on. I thought it was the battery going bad, but when I changed to a different battery, it still does it.

Is it possible for one of my programs to be the cause?

Anyone have any other suggestions I can look into?

It's rather annoying to go to use it and there be no battery left.

Thanks for any help in advanced!

I would say if the battery is warm then you do have current draw.
Do you shut the Ax off or do you just put it to sleep mode?
Check and see what is running before you turn it off by going
Start/Settings/System/Memory/Running Programs and if any then Stop All.
If Activesync is booting up on its own then apply the FAKE SERVER TRICK.

you may want to have something like acbtaskman running, to see how your power/cpu is being used.

I normally just put it in sleep. I'm sure nothing is shown running in the background when the issue accures, but I'm thinking you might have something on the Active Sync thing. But I do not know about the fake server trick. I will search for that and see if it helps. I will also get acbtaskman as suggested to see if it can tell me anything.

Thanks for the help from you two.

The fake server trick seems to have taken care of the problem. Thanks for the help!
