Mad x51v refuses to turn on...

my Axim x51v sometimes won't turn on, and I then have to soft-reset. Anyone have an idea? It usually works fine otherwise...
Also, should I update my ROm (it's A06) and where do I find this info? Thanks for any help

Welcome to the site, the latest Rom is AO12, you can find it at the Dell website. It is recommended that you upgrade, lots of good fixes in there! The turn on thing, I experience it occasionally, soft reset to start, not sure why, I assumed it was the quality of the switch.

You can set your unit to turn on by pressing any of the hard buttons on its face if that would help you out.

Make sure you do a backup before updating the ROM. :)

If the link in that thread doesn't work go here:

ftp://ftp.dell.com/utility/

Then look for the file name under the utility folder.

A12 update

After updating to A12 the problem of sometimes not wanting to turn on seems to have disappeared, and I also didn't have any case of the CF card disappearing, so this really works quite well.
