I just got around to doing the A12 ROM update. Pretty painless, but it didn't solve my WiFi issue.

My Axim X51V has no problem connecting to an unsecured network. But I have never been able to connect to a secured network, even my own home WiFi net. This has been an issue with several routers from an original Siemens 802.11b/WEP to my current Linksys 802.11g WPA/TPK setup.

The Axim correctly reports WPA/PSK and I enter the key. But when I press connect it tries for a bit then fails to connect and moves on to try another network. And before you ask, yes, I have the key correct. I have 3 wireless computers, a wireless printserver, and a wireless network camera all humming away just fine and all with the same key.

Any ideas?

Most people can only use wep with x50 or x51.

And you need to have your router set to mixed mode.
Axims only work on b.

There have been a couple of threads dealing with this lately. Some ppl can get setup on WPA and other can't. Right now I'm on WEP myself. I have the same problem you do. Since I don't have other wireless devices, I just left it.

That was it, Box. I had forgotten that I had set the router to g-only way back when. Set it to mixed mode and Axim connected instantly. Not that I need to use it on my home net, with plenty of computers... and a neighbor's mixed mode open net for that occasional time I want to use the Axim in stand alone mode. :-) But nice to know the WPA works.
