MAC and Axim x51v

I just bought a axim x51v. Is it possible to make it function with my G4 Mac? The first problem is the instalation cd, it requires Windows. Does anyone know if ActiveSync is availeble in af Mac version? What about Windows mobile og Outlook?
I am a beginner when it comes to PDA, so please help!
Regards,
Anne.

Thanks. Now only one problem: On Digg - Free Windows Mobile ActiveSync for Mac, the link on the site is not working. Any ideas? I tried Google like you said, but I only get programs that I have to pay for. Is there another way, or should I just pay for Active Sync for Mac?

I use PocketMac to sync my iMac G5 PowerPC and iMac Intel Mini (both running Leopard 105.2) to my Dell Axim X51v.

I love the program. It works most of the time. You always have to remember, PC's and Mac's usually do not talk to each other. This program allows a fair amount of communication. Enough communication to make it useful for us Mac users.

There is another program called MissingSync by Mark/Space. I have tried it with a friend's PPC. I did not like it. There are those who swear by it.

There is a FREE option by Eltima, called SyncMate. I know two people who use it. It is a no frills program that works.

I hope this has been helpful. Enjoy your Dell Axim X51v and your Mac.

Missing Sync also works on Mac/Axim, but it is not free. It's very good though.

Hi Anne,

Yes there is an Active Sync for the MAC. I am running Missing Sync for Windows Mobile on a MacBook (Tiger OS) without any problems. Go to: Mac-to-Mac Synchronization, OS X Sync for Palm OS, Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 6, Smartphone, Pocket PC, BlackBerry & Sony PSP
Good luck!
