Broken LCD screen axim v51

Hi
I accidently broke my LCD screen but the pda still works excepts it needs realignment. ?I called dell and i waas told my warrantly expired and it will cost $299 to find a replacement glass for the dell. So i'm better off buying another one but thus was my favorite and i never had any problems with it.:realmad::realmad::(:(

What can I do to fin the cracked glass? Any advise or options?

I just replaced my broken X50v screen last week. It wasn't cheap but I feel it was worth it because of all of the software on board and it still cost less than anything comparable out there. I ordered the screen from PDASmart.com and it was $195 + S&H. You can send the whole unit to them and they will replace it for you for about $15 more. I chose to replace it myself. The instruction are easily accessible online and PDASmart sends a toolkit with the screen. Just be sure you get the right screen: X50/51 mid is 3.5" and X50/51v (VGA) is 3.7" -- so one will not fit in the other. One other note: the toolkit I mentioned was helpful but the torx driver was the wrong size (T6) and I had to shop for a smaller one (T5) at local hardware stores.

You can try PPC Techs but they will not be much cheaper.

You might be able to buy a sceen off of ebay & replace it your self.

However you may be better off buying another device.
