How do I install and use a bluetooth gps receiver and tomtom mapping software???

Okay, I admit I'm digitally challenged. There, I've said it. Nonetheless, I've just been given an HP rx3715 PDA and a GoPass GPT-801 bluetooth gps receiver. My obvious question is how the heck do I install the mapping software (on a burned DVD) and use the darn thing? Nothing came with the instructions or even a "hey do this first, do this second" tutorial. It was just "yo, Dan, I don't know how to use this... you want this thing?" Naturally being the savvy gadget guy that I am, I accepted. Now I'm stuck with this really cool looking paper weight. Please help!!! Thanks for any advise you can provide. Dan Thomas.

I don't know the specifics as I'm not an HP user, but I think there's a section for HP users on the forum here somewhere, you'd probably be better off trying there as they'll know specific model details which I don't.

On the CD is there a setup file? I am assuming there is.

Make sure your device is connected to your computer via activesync (Win XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center. Then run the setup file & follow the instructions.

You will at some point have to pair the GPS with you device.

Settings---> BT ---> Devices ---> Add New You may have to set a com port or the software might do this for you.

Hopefully this helps a little

If your HP uses a SD /CF card you could always copy the software/maps
from the dvd/cd using a card reader,
There may already be a setup for BT in your programs folder or
one could be created when you inialize the application.
You then pair up your HP and the BTgps rcvr in the Connections
folder.
