I downloaded the Daylight savings time patch cab file from Microsoft direct to my Axim 51v, ROM12, and the icon didn't execute when I double clicked it.

I then downloaded the .cab file to my Desktop, where it showed up properly as a cab icon, then copied that to an SC card and put that in my Axim, where it showed up as a generic file, not a cab icon. when I doubled clicked it, nothing happened. I sure would appreciate some guidance on how to make the cab file show up as an executqble cab.

I have had the same probelm with a Google Maps cab.

I download all of my applications that come in the form of a 'cab' file into my units 'My Documents/My Update Files' using ActiveSync. Then I just locate the 'cab' file and execute it. It should install properly with giving you options as to where you want to run the application from, at least thats the process I see when following my own instructions. :approve:

Thanks. Unfortunately I cannot use ActiveSync until I fix the DST patch issue. My Axim51v won't connect now.

It's very strange that the downloaded cab files don't show up as a cab icon within the Axim. Nor do they execute when tapped.

Do you have the CabInstaller program? If not, that might be your answer...
