CF Prob - not recognized

I am trying to use a 4GB Sandisk Extreme III CF card and my x51v won't recognize it. I can read and write to the card using a flash card reader so I know the card is good and it says its a Sandisk CF - SDCFX-4096USB, so I'm pretty sure card is not the prob. I saw the list of CF cards that work and don't see why this one should not.

This is a new x51v off ebay, absolutely brand new running the A06 ROM and I think that may be the prob. I tried the ActiveSync trick and have it reset to manual - did not help. When card is inserted, its not listed as an available card.

I've looked and looked all over Dell and can't find the install for A12 upgrade. Can anyone provide a link? Thanks!
