Well I had my trusty x51v open to inspect what's happening to the sleeve for my stylus; which makes a rasping sound and has a rasping feel when inserted and removed. When I was putting it back together I broke the switch for the lock off.

:bang:

Not the one on the case, the one on the motherboard.
So I now have two things on my mind:
One, could I remove the switch and replace it with one from a different unit, or are replacements available? I have never seen a replacement available on line.
Two, the path that the stylus rests in on the inner black plastic piece seemed to have either the remainder of some kind of wax to ease entry and exit, or some wax buildup from my pocket. Can anyone tell me which it is, and if it is indeed there on purpose, can you give me an idea as to what it was so that I may replace it? Right now it feels like there is a small amount of fine grit in the stylus slot.
Edit:
Is there any software lock for the Axim? You know, something like cell phones have where you need to press a combination of keys to unlock the unit. I guess all I really need it for is when I'm making Skype calls and am holding the unit up to my head. Sometimes the side of my face will press buttons when the screen isn't locked.
