Dell Axim x51v broken touchscreen digitizer
My x51v touch screen digitizer broke so I bought one OEM replacement off ebay from Hong Kong and I have just installed in my PDA perfect fit but the touch screen is not responding accurately. I did the calibration test and still is not working as it supposed to work.
The original touch screen has this numbers on it :
A187G-P060729-1151
and the one they send me has:
A187E-P041206-322
from out side, both (original and replacement) digitizers look exactly the same.
I really don't know if this is a compatiblity problem or else but I will let you know what the seller has answer me.

The seller agree to full refund, the first digitizer they send arrived broken wrapped in toilet paper, yes unbelievable. The second digitizer came unharmed but is not working, I can't calibrate it. At the end they agree full refund minus shipping. Waste of time. Now I now I get what I pay for...

I 've checked another seller from ebay they said that the Touch Screen they sell is Orignally Brand New one and in PERFECT condition against that OEM one which is priced to be far lower but Untactile, Calibration-Unabled and Word-Adrift. Their price is $57.00

I've bought from this seller also with no problem.It took some time but I got my item. I bought a backup battery for my axim x51v there.

Guys thanks for the advice.
Hi, I just want to make sure silverlink333's screen meet this specifications.
3.7" VGA LCD screen with 16-Bit Colour and Portrait/Landscape Support
2.22" x 2.96" = around 216.2162 pixels per inch.

My touch screen broke but the LCD is still working good and I don't want to loose the incredible good resolution it has.

Jimmaestro did you bought the LCD w/ digitizer or only the touch screen?

Guys thanks for the advice, I had bought the LDC w/digitizer from silverlink333, pay $68.98 USD I hope this work with same quality as previus screen.
Now I am just waiting for the mail to arrive, I'll keep you inform if works.

I bought the LCD with digitizer from ebays silverlink333 and after 2 months I finally have it right!!!!

LCD Screen Display for Dell X50v X51v /w Digitizer 04 - eBay (item 180295271953 end time Oct-05-08 14:21:14 PDT)

I've pay near $60.00, much better than $165 average from guys like PDASmart.
They send a wrong part first, so if you have the same problem all you need is a little patience.

Unless someone on the site has purchased a LCD screen
from either of the 2 sites I am afraid the choice is yours
to make.Buying on EBAY is more or less "you pay your money
you take your chances" proposition.

Successful digitizer & lcd install
Purchased digitizer and lcd replacements for my x51v on ebay from coverlink for $63.99 including shipping. Arrived 10 days after shipping from Hong Kong. Viewed all the installation tips & videos that I could find on Aximsite before taking it apart. Installation went very smooth. Unit works great. Now if I could only find a way to upgrade the RAM from 64mb to 128mb myself.....
