problem with sound

I have a problem with my dell axim51v

my speaker does not work

but I can her everthing through headphone

what could be the problem

I appreciate any help

you may or may not know, but the speaker is connected to the center multi directional button at the base of the axim.

Assuming you have checked all software settings, it must be hardware. If it were me, I would take it apart and reconnect that ribbon cable that corresponds to the button/speaker assembly.

It's a common problem, usually caused by the little switch in the ear plug getting stuck.
Sometimes just plugging the plug in and out a few times will fix it.
There are several threads about how to fix it, before resorting to opening the Ax up!
