Old trusty x50v died today

I have commited a gross sin oh father, :( I have left my first love. I have betrayed my beautiful x50v for a newer young trophy PDA, and now my beloved is dead.

I seems that my x50v has a soul, I finaly gave into the urge and replaced my trusty girl with a brand new Mogul from Sprint (cough, cough). Any way with in two days of abondoning my girl, she up and died on me. I plugged her in to give her a charge, and then next morning she wouldn't wake up just laid there on my night stand, where she has slept the last 4 years, and wouldn't respond. I tried in desperation to perform some Dellish CPR on her, but could not breath life back onto her.

I am actually a little bit sad about this. (thank god, my ex-dwife won't see this)

In all seriousness can anyone think of a reason why my x50v would do this. It had been acting a little sick lately and the batteries were well on there way to a PC grave, but up until I got my mogul and moved my programs and stuff to it, the dell worked everytime I needed it.
Any ideas?

Please no flowers just donate to my favorite charity... Me

Is the power light turning on when you're charging it? Can you power it on in the cradle?

I'm guessing that you checked the lock switch.

Hard reset?
Boot loader?
Diagnostic mode?
Will it run with the battery out and the cover back on?

Tried everything I think

I know the batteries are close to death, and I can only sync up with the usb cable some times, there seems to be a short in the connection for the sync plug, and the cradle died a disrespectful death a year ago.
To say the least, or the most as my case may be, my x50v was pretty near death I think, just why it died so soon after I replaced it with the Mogul is what suprised me. I had used it daily for 4 years and must have just worn it out.
