I dropped my x51v and screen will not go full bright

passing through security, I went to put my x51v back on my sena belt clip. It missed and fell onto a concrete floor. It still works, however I can not get the screen to go into full bright mode using the usual settings.

The brightest the screen will display is about half way using the slider feature in the brightness settings (for both battery and external power). I also notice that if I try to set the screen brightness all the way up, it will flicker every now and then to a brighter setting and immediately go back to the dimmer setting.

Did I F up my screen backlighting when it was dropped or what?

I've already done a hard reset and it makes no difference.

You are going too have to open it up and make sure the VGA cable is seated properly. Do a search and you should find something to help you.

I did that too. Everything looks as it should. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I would have guessed that if the screen assembly was broke, it wouldn't work at all. Im just experiencing occasional flickers and the inability to crank the brightness up.

Any ideas?
