jd, I forgot about that program!
Thanks a lot for reminding me. The guy must have spent some time on that program. The headers in the .img file is confusing (Yes, I tried to mount it, reverse engineer it, not very successful). Therefore, hard to extract.

The Kitchen ROM is for X51v (Notice the "v"). No ROMS by Lenny for X51 yet.

Yes, I checked out that thread and he mentions how he does it, but with what? No mention of the program he's using leads me no where...LOL~!
why dont you just ask him yourself and bring up your bootloader problem?
dont be shy
also, note that this gentleman is making a "kitchen" which is normally a small program with the associatied files needed to make you own custom rom, all by yourself. the program will give a list of apps, both oem and 3rd party you would like to "cook" into the rom, and you make your rom your way. when its done it does all the work and copies the rom to your device. im surprised no one has made a rom kitchen for the axims out there. maybe with some motivation from some people that may be interested in creating their own roms (nudge nudge) he will be able to release it sooner than later
I will be "converting" all the .img to .nb0 and .crc for all of the ROMS. A new thread will be in time.

hehe. Glad to be of help. I wasn't on Live Messenger the other day. No need to share you E-Mail. I'll post the links to the RARs sooner or later.
Besides, the your E-Mail can be harvested by bots or spammers. I suggest you remove your E-Mail and just ask the members to PM you.

I found this RAR on the internet way back in October of 2007. Wish I would have known you were looking for it I could have sent it to you or posted it. I have kept every RAR for each ROM flashing I have ever done on my X51V a total of 39 in all covering WM5 A12 to WM6's and now WM6.1's. :approve:
hehe. Would have saved me the time of converting the .img. But next time something like this pops up, we are sure to call on you, rlarson.

I tried to upgrade my Axim X51 to Windows Mobile 6.0 using the SD method and it bricked my PDA I've tried multiple WM operating systems to get it to reboot, but no luck so far. I can still access the SD Boot Loader so if I can just find the RAR File with the .Nbo and .crc files in it, I can get my Axim back up and running

Unfortunately, official Dell stock ROMS cannot be "dismantled". You can extract the .img file. But it would take extreme amount of work to reverse engineer the .img file and extract the .nb0. Also you still need to write a .crc file for that nb0.
With that said, best things you can do right now:
Complete a hard reset on the Axim (Power+reset hole). If it can Activesync, rerun the Dell installer (Drivers and Downloads)
In your question, you said "...Dell Axim WM50 Rev: A12...", I think you meant WM5?
Lastly, of course, if you Axim is still in warranty, just ask for a replacement/refund.
One year later and your post (johnhu_2005) has really helped me out of the Doodar I find myself in. Im really grateful to you for this diamond answer and the effort you have put in to help idiots like me out. Thanks a lot mate appreciated and my axim51 is again blinking brightly all down to you.
