My x51v has suddenly developed a new fault.

If I leave the wifi on and press the power button to get to standby, the screen blanks as usual, but the green wifi LED continues to flash. Once in this state it will flatten the battery in a couple of hours, and only a reset (via rear button) or a battery swap will return it to life.

If I switch the wifi off, prior to using the power button, it functions normally.

Before I do a hard reset, has any one experience this before and found a way around it?

Only thing I can think of is an alarm or notification off the top of my head.

Thanks Kimchee. I've checked, but don't appear to have any reminders of schedules set.

I suspect the fault was cause by Samsung Route66 which automatically installed itself while trying to transfer a file to a friend's SD card. I've since uninstalled it but the fault remains.

After a hard reset and a reload of all programs etc. The fault has been eliminated. :)
