Vista and ActiveSync 3.7.1

Hello,

I would like to sync my x50v with my windows Vista computer. I have the original activSync disc that came with my Axim and it has ActiveSync 3.7.1. My axim is running windows mobile 2003se.

Does anyone one if this version of activesync will work with windows vista or am I destined to have my system crash? Also, are there any option for a new macbook that would allow me to sync my axim to the Mac?

Appreciate any feedback.

Aleks

What Radimus is trying to say is,

Vista uses Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) to connect to your Axim instead of Activesync.

He has provided you with a link.

Activesync won't run on a Vista machine, but it won't kill it either, just doesn't work.

Can't help with the Mac issue I'm afraid.

There was a frontpage article about SyncMate to sync Windows Mobile with a Mac. Our own JakeRich did a review (of the non-free Pro version) here.

The product link page is here.

Thank you all for providing assistance. I have downloaded Windows Mobile Device Centre. Radimus, thank you for the learning experience. Box, thank you for details. Breley, the mac software that you suggested looks very promising. I will be testing the trial version.

Thank you all.
