What is the current x51v rom?

I thought A12 was the newest, but when I search dell it says A00 and some other update/patch for the x51v. It has been a long time since I've even checked so I want to be sure. Should I just go through the dell site and download everything for my x51v?

Your correct. A12 was the final windows mobile 5 version for the axim x51v.

So the A00 37mb file on Dell is just an antique? Seems silly they would have that and not the newest.

If this was 2006 or something I'd be looking for the update download but being 2008/9 I wouldn't really even care. I don't think there is a difference. Somebody might be able to tell you what was included in the version update but the axim is way more valuable than a minor update.

There aren't really even security issues to worry about with an axim.

The most recent official ROM from Dell is A12 for x51v. It can be found here in English: Drivers and Downloads

There are other 3rd-party developer WM6 and WM6.1 ROMS for x51v. They can found at my post: Experimental/Beta WM6.1 ROMs for Axim X51v

The main improvement is speed and stability. A12 is faster compared to A06. And Lenny's L11 (unofficial) ROM is the fastest of all. :exc:
