Question X51V stuck at blue Dell Logo screen.

First off, I've searched and read, then searched then read some more on everything I can find related to this problem in these forums.

I've done the SD card flash of A04, A06, A12, and one of the Lenny's. The AXX's are the files I downloaded from the Dell website. Each flash process goes through to the hard reset page. When I press the Power/Reset combo, only the A06 will get the Axim back to the blue Dell Logo screen, where I started in the first place. The rest do nothing (black screen, no response).

I've also ran the diagnostics which completes. But, the results are as follows:

CPU - Pass
SDRAM - Pass
RTC - Pass
FLASH
LCD - Pass
BUTTON - Pass
AUDIO - Pass
LED - Pass
RECORD - Pass
TOUCH - Pass

Notice there's no "Pass" or anything else after Flash! Is this the problem? Is there a fix? Anyone else have or get around this problem?

I've left the thing sitting for a whole day to see if it would go ahead and boot at some point with no success. Battery is fully charged. Actually have 3 batteries and have tried them all. Tried in the cradle, out of the cradle etc. etc.

Do I have a nice paperweight with a fancy blue Dell Logo on it?

Thanks in advance for any help!

hard reset?

Maybe a broken bootloader? Try to flash this- RapidShare: Easy Filehosting. It's A12 WWE ROM in a .nb0 and .crc format.

If you don't know to flash, please ask us.

As always, BACK UP!

I did remove all cards and try resetting. In cradle, out of cradle, different battery, etc.
There is no backing up. It won't boot.
I'll try the bootloader.
I can't make it work any worse than it already is!
Thanks for the link!

OK! tried that one too and still nothing. Thing goes thru the whole flashing process on the SD card, but pressing the Power/Reset does nothing with this one either. Put A06 back on and get the Blue Dell logo back but no further!!

You have probably already checked this, but I had a problem with mine freezing up and it turned out to be the lock button on the side of the Ax. Make sure it's off, and it wouldn't hurt to check the battery latch too.

Oh Yes! I am a member of that club too, but not this time. I think something is just dead on the inside! Something to do with flash. It's the only thing that doesn't pass in diagnostics.:(

I think I have the solution on the way though. An x51v that turns on but has a broken screen. I'll try to make one good one from two duds.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

Did you try leaving the battery out of it for a while, like a few days and then put it in and do a hard reset?
