Hey all, even though my wifi says that my internet signal is excellent, I get no bars at the bottom of my screen and I cannot navigate to any page - I'm trying to avoid a hard reset but every suggestion in the old Aximsite forums that used to work for me are no longer working... any suggestions - I'm still not ready to retire my Ax!

Check if you have WPA-PSK, try using WEP temporarily.
Also, I find that turning off your router for 30 seconds and turning it back on also might work.

Hey WIP, have you tried clearing the IE Cache?
and a soft reset?
Also, get out of range of the router and remove the settings, then re-establish your connection.
And definitely reboot the router as johnhu suggests.
Thanks guys - yes I have tried both of these suggestions already but it's a no go... I am slowly inching towards the dreaded hard reset... I believe I've actually managed to screw up the registry that handles the wireless set-up... That's what happens when a permanent newb like me tries to do things like a techie...

Maybe use Odyssey Client?
Try wi-fi with your neighbor or something. Maybe it's the router's problem.
I'm pretty close to being out of ideas...

1. Is your wireless router broadcasting in a signal the Ax can't read?
2. In the Ax wifi settings, enter in your Primary and Secondary DNS settings for your network. I had to do this to connect to the internet at home.
I probably should've followed up a while ago on this thread... I ended up doing the dreaded hard reset and started from scratch (back to the newbie threads and all for a relatively quick and painless redo). I have internet again... however I have battery drain issues that are not related to the fake server trick (likely just my battery actually getting old) and I'm now trying to figure out what software I had for my calendar that I no longer have.. also trying to fix the whole daylight savings non-adjustment thing.
***Update***
Ok, just found the cab file at Microsoft: Download details: Update for Windows Mobile for PC (KB949168)
Install went super well, but note that your Axim will automatically soft reset during the install, so it's best to have all other programs off or "saved" before performing the install. All calendar problems appear to be rectified. :)
