My ppc is using a wm 6 rom, that one that you can find at xda developers and is made as voip, and Iam using it for 3 months.
But last week my ppc get crazy, it like if was pressing the power button without stop a lot of times.
And it makes my ppc join suspend mode and come back again.
If I put the option to full turn off the ppc if I keep pressed the power button, in turn of 5 seconds the message appears asking me if I wat to full turn off.
I sent it to a repair shop and they told me that the ppc is perfect and this trouble is caused by the ROM, they told me that they even changed the circuit of the button, but nothing warked.
The most interesting of this problem is if the baterry is with less or equal than 30%, the problem desapear, but if passes the problem starts.
What could it be?? The reapair shop didnt test another battery then could it be the battery? Could it really be the ROM? what about I downgrade the rom to wm5 dell original ROM?
have you ever had this kind of problem, or heard about it?? any suggestions??
I am really sorry abou my english and If I wasnt clear. Cause I am from Brazil.
First - Welcome to Mobilitysite. You will find lots of good information and support here. :)
Second - I would believe the repair shop. Go back to WM5 and see if that fixes your problem. Do a complete backup before you do anything. :exc:
Here's a translation by a friend:
Primero - bienvenido a Mobilitysite. Usted encontrará mucha información buenos y el apoyo aquí. :)
Apoye - creería el taller de reparaciones. Vuelva a WM5 y vea si eso fija su problema. Haga un respaldo completo antes usted hace algo. :exc:

I have the A05 ROM. But, I have the x50, not the x51v.

I suggest taking the main battery out and letting the backup fully discharge. It'll take an hour or so. Then, reinstall the main battery and see if it'll boot up for you.

Today the x51v will pass all the day without any battery. And I can test it later.
But the problem still happens even if I turn it on without battery, only plugged at the power cable.
Maybe it a temperature problem, cause if I left it turned off for some hours and turn it on again without battery it takes some minutes to an hour until the problem starts.
I really don´t know what to do. I will try another fixing store and if they don´t solve it. I will start to sell pieces of the x51v unfotunatelly. :(
I hope by completely discharging the backup capacitor your x51v will start fresh. :)
