X51V Help

my X51v wont turn on, i got it to go to the diagnostic screen and it says "only FAT32 Supported SD Image Update AO5" , then flashing it says "Image Update Failed, please try again"
Anyone else have had this problem and find a way to fix it, thanks.

I believe he/she has the wrong nb0 for flashing or a SD card not formatted to FAT32. What OS (WM5, WM6?) are you trying to flash?

I was not trying to flash it, i tried to turn it on 2 days ago and it would not come on, 4 days ago it worked just fine, the SD card is the same one that has been in it before this problem started and worked fine, thanks.

Since you can get to the bootloader, that's a good sign.
I think it's time for a hard reset.

Next step would be to try flashing.

Use the A12 WM5 for X51v file found here.

Get to the bootloader and try flashing it again.

Be sure to keep your Axim in the cradle so it does not run out of battery!

Yesterday i pressed the power button and it came on for a few seconds then went black again, today i tried it again and it turned on and has been working as normal , i think the cold weather caused the problem, i left it a couple of nights in my truck and it was close to freezing which may have cause it to lock-up.
Should i go ahead and flash it to A12 WM5 for X51v file ? it has A06 now !
Thanks for the help guys.

"If it ain't broken, don't fix it!"
Well, it really depends on if you want the hassle of backuping, flashing, and restoring... Personally, A06-->A12 is not that big of a change.

So the lesson we learned from your experience is a frozen unit is not a happy unit.
