Axim appears to be completely dead???

I bought this from a friend not long ago. It worked just fine. Then the other day I went to turn it on and it gets to the dell logo but then powers off. Now it doesn't even get that far. When I have it plugged in with the home charger cord no lights at all appear. Could this just be a dead battery. I am really looking to sell this thing but obviously I can't do that if it won't power up!! And I don't want to invest in a new battery if that's not going to help!

I have tried holding the power and wifi button while pressing the reset button on the back, no go. I took the battery out and put it back in, no go... Seems all the standard tricks aren't working.

Could the port for the power cord have become disabled/damaged somehow? My power cord still plugs in snugly...

HELP?

Try wiggling the AX in the cradle. Sometimes the connector doesn't match-up to the plug. The amber light should appear when power is connected. I assume the cradle is plugged in to a wall outlet?

Of course, check the obvious lock switch. Wiggle it a bit.

Maybe you are doing to steps for the bootloader wrong (Wifi+Power+reset):

1. Hold the Wifi (Make sure it is the Wifi, not record) and Power button at the same time
2. While holding the two, tap the reset hole
3. When a screen pop up, release the Wifi and Power button
