Does a Axim x51 need the battery door in place to boot up. I have one that won't turn on but the battery door is missing.

Won't work without it unless you have disabled the battery latch switch.
It will turn on without the battery, if plugged in, but not without the door.

A search for battery latch should find the thread to help you disable it if you need to.
Easiest way is find the door.
