problem on stand by

Hi
I've a problem with my axim x51v.
The problem is that on battery power it use a lot of current when is on stand-by so i can't use it, in about ten hours it discarge completely the battery.

I've done some test to find it but i don't know how to solve it.

I've find that on battery power it use about 250mA of current when is on and about 100mA in stand by(that is too much)

on ac power (without battery)
it use about 200-250mA when is on and 4mA when is in stand by.

The capacitor for storage working fine out of the circuit, but in the circuit not.

So the problem is with battery on stand by. Anyone can help me?

Thanks... :)

Remove your SD and CF card and see if that slows down the battery usage during standby.

Try to apply the Activesync fix on it. Activesync may be continuously looking for a partnership on battery power when it is not there. Therefore, draining your battery pretty quick.

Thanks johnhu_2005 for reply,
I've try to remove SD, CF and to apply activesync fix, but nothing change... :(

i think it could be an hardware problem, I've misured a resistance of 28 ohms betwen the + and the - of the battery slot ( 1-2 and 4-5 pins starting from the down of ppc). Probably is too less 28 ohms and this is the problem but i'm not sure.
Anyone can misure it on his ppc?
Thanks...

It sounds like your battery is very weak. How old is the battery and do you have another one to put in?
