Aximsitex50icon DELL AXIM x51v BACKUP BATTERY

This thread is more inquisitive in nature than an actual problem. (Although, I may experinece a problem regarding this issue in the future.)

I recall that there is a small (backup?) battery in the x51v that needs to be changed periodically. Is this correct? If so, what is the battery (Lithium)? How long does it last? How is it changed, and what are the ramifications when it goes dead, i.e., is the x51v still usable?

The other alternative is to forget about the battery and use this program. The only thing lost if the backup capacitor goes is the time when you change the battery as x51v keeps data in flash use this thread - ramhttp://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/x50-x51-forums/227767-does-your-axim-lose-date-time-when-you-change-battery-check.html

Its been a long time but there was a guy that was giving those backup capacitors away. Unless you are good a soldering I wouldn'r worry about replacing it. Just use the above program.
