hi there!

good to see that there is still a community for the axim. i tried to find a solution to my problem in the forum, but wasnt succesful.

the thing with my axim is, that it constantly reports the charging of my battery. when i turn it on without the power cable plugged in "settings/system/power" reports that the axim is being charged

the problem with that is, that i don't see the actual remaining battery power - so it turns off in unexpected situations - not very helpful.

that happens with the original battery and also with a 2200mAh version.

i tried both soft- and hardware reset. also tried different roms (also the original).

has anybody encountered the same problem? has anybod heard about a solution for it? could a new battery help with that?

additional info:
the power button on top of the axim shows the correct status (orange when charging, nothing without power cable)

I've not heard of that problem before but perhaps you could try installing Batti and see if that gives you a correct reading.

If it works properly then you would know it is a glitch in the software, if it doesn't work properly it would suggest a hardware problem.

thanks for the reply. batti is already installed, it also reports the wrong state. i already thought that it might be a hardware problem

does anybody think that a new battery could solve the problem?
