I need to restore system to my x51v

Hello, first of all I'm sorry because my english is very poor.

I'm having problems with my x51v . When I touch the start button, sometimes it starts and sometimes not. I have to wait several days without being triggered.
When I can not turn on, I can intro in bootloader mode and change the system but when I'm finished, I can not turn on again.
And after 2 or 3 days, starts only.

What do you think about this?
Where is the problem? In the OS or maybe in the hardware.

Thank you very much.

First - Welcome to Mobilitysite.

Second - You may have what's called a "bricked" Axim. First try a soft reset. If that doesn't work try a hard reset. Remember, if you do a hard reset you will lose all the data of the PDA. It restores the Axim to its original condition.

Soft reset - poke the reset hole (On the back) ONCE.

Hard reset:
1. Press and hold the Power Button and Wifi button (On the side)

2. While holding the two, poke the reset hole (On the back) ONCE

3. Once a screen pops up, release the Power button and Wifi button

Thanks for the welcome and for your help.

I can not do neither soft reset nor hard reset.

All I can do is load a ROM pressing wifi + power.

I can also wait until it turn on by itself.

Thanks

Check tle lock switch on the side of the unit. If it is UP, then the power button won't work. Make sure it is DOWN (towards the WiFi button), and then the Power button should work.

The lock is down.

The only way I have to use my axim is to wait until it turn on by itself.

Thanks.

I would strongly suggest doing a complete backup the next time it turns on by itself.

Another thing that may get it to wake up when you want it to, is to set that ANY button will wake it up. Under Start > Settings > System > Power, there is a tab with settings as to which buttons will wake up the Axim.

Try checking both of those check boxes, the next time it does wake up.

Okay, I'll do what you say next time it's turn on.

I have to try everything!!!

And about the backup, I made one the last time it was on.

Thank you for your interest.
