Aximsiteactivesyncicon Syncing Problems

I have 2 X51v. I am using OS Windows XP, ActiveSynce 4.5. Each time I attempt to sync these device I get an "Resolve Items" and a message next to "Notes" 158 unresolved items. When I click on "Resolve Items" I get the following message-"Cannot Synchronize 'Notes\name of note' with this device.
It may be in use or you may not have enough device memory."
I have done soft resets, hard resets, re-installed Active Sync. These files are not in use and I have over 132mb of memory left on my device.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I am at my "wits end"
Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Have you looked in your My Documents folder and find that note file with file explorer, it will be named <note name>.pwi? Perhaps delete it manually or move to a SD or CF card then sync again.

Acejavelin,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried this. I have uninstalled and re-installed ActiveSync, I have always kept of copy of notes on my SD card and have deleted the notes in the main memory and copied notes from SD card back into the main memory and I keep getting the same "unresolved items" on all 158 notes I have.
I am thinking about uninstalling Outlook and reinstalling and see if this will solve the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion

Try Outlooks " detect and repair" function first.
