x51v battery strangeness

Hello,
I just purchased a x51v that was in a Dell factory sealed box, apparently a refurb handset that was sent out in a warranty exchange. Overall, it works and looks like new EXCEPT one thing. It will periodically show that the main battery is dead when it is not. If I do a soft reset when the message is displayed there will be a charge of as much as 90% when shortly before it will say empty. I did have to buy a battery for it and I am wondering if it is the battery or the unit. Has anyone has seen something similar? It seems to happen when using it at maximum power such as running TomTom and connected to a Bluetooth GPS. I do have the ability to return the unit if it is defective. Any thoughts? I have done a hard reset since this has happened and currently TomTom 6 is all that is installed.

My X50v does this a few times a day depending on how much I use it (it has done it 10+ times in one day at times), it gives me a warning the main battery is low and it shows 0% left, I just click DISMISS and in 2-3 minutes it is back where it should be.

I though this was just from the 3600mAh mega-capacity batteries I was using, but maybe its not...

Does not seem to affect any other operation of the unit though.

Not sure if this helps, but you are not alone.

Wow, the battery I am using is a high capacity battery as well (2200mAh). Maybe the battery has something to do with it? Thanks.
