Wi-Fi trouble
Anyone else having issues with their Wi-Fi? For some reason the window to enter my WEP keeps popping up telling me it's incorrect, and before anyone asks, I am entering it correctly. I've connected a few times but noticed the connection ended when connecting to the PC via USB. Now even though not connected by USB it just won't connect at all. Tried soft resetting and still nothing. Very frustrating. Doesn't seem to work at all like my 50v did. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried alpha, hex and the Odessey client. I get the same message telling me my WEP is incorrect.

I've tried it with two different WAP's. A SonicWALL TZ170 and a Cisco Aironet 350, both are running the latest FW. I can connect to a wide open WAP without any problem. I've opened a support call with Dell. We shall see.

So I called Dell and spent an hour on the phone with them. We went through every type of WEP config there is. I was never able to get my X51v to connect. It connects to unsecure WAP's fine. (I'm on one now). Dell finally said it must be software problem. They said I could return the pda or wait until they come out with a fix.

Has anyone got their X51v to connect to a WEP enabled access point.

Thanks ,

Gordon

I am. 64-bit WEP on a Netgear WGR614V4 (along with MAC filtering). It worked as soon as I entered the 10-chracter hex key into the Axim and the MAC address into the router.

I've found that the problem is when I connect to activesync via USB while wi-fi is running. It knocks out the connection and the only way to get it to connect again is to reset my router. I am now just in the habbit of turning off wi-fi prior to connecting to activesync.

That's a possibility. I've never connected my cradle.
