X51v: SD Card disappearing
I have been checking this bug for around a week to be sure that the problem exist (something that was clear to me from the beginning) and that I have the right solution.

After long periods of inactivity my SD was not listed in any browser when I turned ON the X51v. The problem seems to be in the PNP Unload Delay having a value too small for this machine. I changed to 4096 and I have been using the device for more than 72 hours without having seen my SD disappear again.

How to change the PNP Unload Delay can be found here:

http://www.tweaks2k2.com/portal/foru...&fromblock=yes

This hack is included too in Tweaks2K2 for those that do not want to change the registry manually.

I am using Tweaks2K2 and tried this hack. It did not work for me.

Did I only have to go: (in Tweaks2k2) System tricks-System tricks-collection 5- check box next to "Increase the PNP Unload Delay"? or did I have to do something else?

Thanks

This tweak seems to help, but it doesn't fix the problem. I suspect that only a rom upgrade from Dell will fix it entirely.

Well, guys, I have not seen any more any of these problems and this is what I did. I applied that hack. That helped me but really did not fix the problem completely. I disabled the Top Battery Meter bar from SPB PocketPlus, that fixed a problem where the battery drained in a very short period of time at a very high temperature. For a program launcher I’m using the one in SPB PocketPlus. Resco File Explorer includes a launcher but the battery meter in that launcher is producing the same error as the Top battery meter of SPB PocketPlus.

I'm using a Sync-Charger cable all time. I have noticed that many of the users with these problems are using the cradle and the power supply to charge their Axims.

To me it seems like Tweaks2k2 only fixed the SD Card problem but Not the CF Card, my SD quit disapearing but CF Still does every time I power of Unit

Do you use a Sync-Charger cable?
Do you have any of the software above mentioned by me installed?

Why would a sync cable bother me when I only sync at night and I lose the CF all day, every time I have it powered of for 1 hour, no matter how many time's I power of during the day, Ilose my CF every Time

Have you thought that all the problems that you have could be relative to the power management in your PPC?

are you willing to test a registry hack never tested before?

Sure! why not, but you have me thinking on the Cradle thing, I haven't had mine in the cradle all day(usualy sync ever day with cradle), this is the first day I have never lost my CF, this tells me you are on to something, I don't know how you find these things, but many thanks
