zune fustration

has anyone tried playing mp3 purchased from zune market place on windows version 6 with windows media player? I tried but it wants me to download zune software to my tilt. what the heck am I doing wrong? If there is no easy fix, it will be time to stop purchasing from the zune marketplace. Please let me know if there is a fix, or like itunes, you can only play protected music on the devices intended for that purchased music. This is the main reason I dislike ipods, I want no fustration, just load and go on anything that likes mp3s...

I don't have an answer for you, but I have had tremendous success with Download mp3 music, buy mp3 music – MP3fiesta.com. It's very inexpensive, great quality and DRM free.

I also have no answer, and I fear I cannot discuss where I may hypothetically get my mp3s since this post may be being read by impressionable children or "Tha G".

That said, I would be very disappointed as well if Zune software was locking you down that way concerning music you purchased fair and square. I would be inclined to think it may be a question of what format you save the music in, or an option to be selected/deselected.

However, one never knows...the ways of DRM are dark and seldom pleasant.

Good luck,
Z

MP3 Fiesta does look like a great alternative, and I will probably give it a try.

Let me know what you think about it Bobby. Enjoy it. I have purchased about 1000 songs from there. Awesome.

So far I like it, most of the songs I want are on there. For the most part it is easy to navigate, I will miss the zune marketplace, but I refuse to purchase DRM material, as it limits devices, which I believe is criminal, just like downloading from the napster of the old days. I guess that is karama for me lol... Great Pic, someone should post a quick review and let others know.

You can also check out Didiom. They have 1.5 million MP3s. Plus, they let you name your own price, like Priceline, and give you nice cash bonus if you prepay.
