Differentiate by color

Wish there were some way to differentiate an X5 Thread from an X3 Thread on the View New Posts Page. Something like the Red Classifieds, only in the Thread Subject Link.

I just open New Posts, start reading Subjects and open (and answer) those that seem interesting or that I feel I can help out with. RARELY do I ever take note of which Forum it is posted in.

I agree. This would make sense. On the other hand, there are several post for the X5 that are also valid for X3 users. If the posts are then color coded, a lot of users would miss those posts. It seems, like always, there are good and bad parts to this idea.

I would still visit any & all Posts that sound interesting........but the visiual cue would aid in my not giving, say, X5 info in an X3 Forum.

The problem would also be resolved if everyone would clearly state what device they are asking a question about............yeah, right!!!

When you click on a thread, just look at the top of the page when it loads. It shows which Forum you are in.

What about when you click the Go To Last Post or the Go to First New Post, as I normally do.........Don't often see the top of the page.

Doesn't have to be a color differentiation, one bold the other not...or italics. Just something in the Thread Column for an on-the-fly difference.

I've just got to ask....

What's the problem with simply looking at the "Forum" column on the View New Posts page?

No "problem".....I just don't surf the site (any site) that way. And without some visiual cue, I often give incorrect information.


If I may ask, what's the problem with giving different Device Forums a visiual cue as to what you are clicking?

It's not like it's gonna make the Site look "ugly" or anything........just a way to keep the correct information flowing in the correct Forum.

Like I said, it doesn't have to be COLOR (which I concede, could be distracting, but the Classified Forum has set a precedent), it could be Bold, Italics, Font, Size........anything that could set them apart.
