HTC HD2 headed for T-Mobile in March?

A while back, it was rumored that the HTC HD2, was going to hit T-Mobile. Well, WMExperts got a ROM for the HD2, and found these files.

Yup. Those are T-Mobile files. Here are some other stats from this ROM:

Leo ROM 2.01
Windows Mobile 6.5 build 21869
Opera 9.7.0.35627
OzIM_US_1.0.5.1.139
Teeter 2.0
TMOUS_Manila_Core 2.5.1921401

They are also hearing a tentative March release date. So T-Mobile folks, you guys held tight, and you guys have an amazing device coming your way!

The LG eXpo is a hot new Windows Mobile 6.5 device that some are looking forward to. It’s got an optional Pico projector designed to work with it as well. It just hit AT&T’s website the other day and eagle-eyed Steven was the 1st to share it with us all. He has been CNTL-F5ing AT&T’s website for a while. He’s be reviewing this one for us soon too. Better late than never huh? This thing was supposed to drop 10 days ago according to the announcement. Let’s take a look at this unboxing!

Verizon Bits – We can handle the iPhone and the Palm Pre Plus

I’ll skip over the handling the iPhone part and get to the part about the Palm Pre. I’m going to file the Palm Pre Plus into the “rumor” file for now. There is no doubt that Palm has something to show us at CES 2010 since I got an invitation to a private event, but what is it. Well, there were stories posted this week that Verizon employees were getting Palm WebOS training, so we can add two and two together, right? Today, Phone Arena is saying that they’ve gotten a tip that a device call the Palm Pre Plus is in the internal Verizon system now. This isn’t the 1st we’ve heard about the Pre going to Verizon either, a tweet by a Verizon employee back in October spilled the beans already (Tweet was removed, but Engadget has it archived). I buy it. Do you?

What I don’t buy is Verizon getting the iPhone after all the things that Verizon’s said and done regarding the iPhone. They launched an attack at AT&T’s network with hints of iPhone attack. The directly attacked the iPhone with the Droid marketing (why they totally ignored the Storm 2’s launch). Why on earth would Apple allow Verizon to get the iPhone. I know, business is business, but does the past have consequences in business? Maybe not.

tnkgrl’s Google Nexus One Experience…

This is the 1st I have read online where someone that actually covers phones has really touched the device. Despite them not allowing her to photograph the Nexus One, I buy it 100%. I might not agree one the device choices she makes, but she’s been around. I know of her more on the Nokia side of the spectrum and her dislike for Windows Mobile. Anyway, tnkgrl had a very brief encounter with the Nexus one and shares her quick thoughts on her blog.

It’s extremely thin
It’s much nicer looking in person than in pictures
There’s a 4 GB micro-SD card installed
The battery capacity is 1400 mAh
The screen appears to be OLED (same size/resolution as the Motorola Droid)
3G works on T-Mobile USA :)
I can confirm that there’s no 3G on AT&T (EGDE only)

Motorola Milestone multitouch ported to the DROID!

The Motorola Milestone firmware was ported to the DROID by AllDroid.org — the folks that rooted the DROID. The ROM will be available in the coming days, but there are videos proving that multitouch is working on the Verizon Wireless DROID.

If you didn’t know, the Motorola Milestone is the european version of the DROID. The Milestone adds multitouch capabilities to the browser, and admit it, you want it! I’m hearing this directly from AllDroid.org’s founder, Brent Fishman. Watch this video demo and head over to AllDroid.org!!

AT&T Getting Android Soon? Yes. Motorola Backflip/Enzo!

Look what AT&T might be working on… An Android phone.

First of all, our tipster referred to it as the “Motorola Enzo” although he said it could be called Backflip on launch day, which – to us at least – seems more likely. Feast your eyes, ladies and gents, on what will very likely become AT&T’s first Android Phone:

I wouldn’t normally be really excited about “just a rumor”, but in this case, unless this is a super photoshop job, I am sold. Android to AT&T is confirmed!

iPhone Bits – iPhone overtakes WinMo, New OS Versions coming soon?

In the whole buzz of Google’s Nexus One, some iPhone news went under the radar. It seems that there are a couple new iPhone OS versions floating around. BGR showed a screenshot of their webstats that show 3.1.3 iPhone OS already, but the bigger surprise is an 4.0 iPhone OS entry. Wow!

Another interesting bit is from some research done by comScore. They are showing that Windows Mobile has just been passed up by the iPhone OS in the US Smartphone Marketshare. RIM is still on top, but I bet the iPhone can catch RIM too.

I would have never guessed this back in 2007, but hey… Apple is doing good meeting customer needs and bringing out timely updates. Google still has quite a ways to go, but they are gaining on Palm already. I had Android pegged as the Palm competitor last year, but based on the “fans” early love for Android, it’s getting more and more steam behind it.

UPS arrives for BlackBerry in time for Christmas

Today, UPS for BlackBerry has been released to the public. It allows you to track all your packages, schedule pickups, find stores, and even estimate the shipping cost. It will also allow you to log in to your UPS account to access payment info and address book, among other things.

I would think it is a must have for eBay and Amazon addicts, but I’ll bet it will be most useful for people sending Christmas presents across the country.

UPS is available for free in the BlackBerry App World. Better hurry, not much time left until Christmas!

Twitter App for the Zune Announced (and Released)

LG eXpo Now listed on at&t’s website

Well look what the cat dragged in. After being delayed for shipping issues the eXpo has finally shown up on online at at&t’s website for $199 on contract with the obligatory data plan. It’s got all my requirements, WM6.5 a full slide-out keyboard, Snapdragon processor and that biometric sensor/d-pad is intriguing.

Bing Released for the iPhone

The 1st thing that popped into my mind when I saw this on Phone Scoop this morning was, “oh boy, Microsoft… why? Who’s going to use Bing on the iPhone?”. Would you use Bing on the iPhone?

Bing on your mobile phone just keeps getting better. Today we are happy to announce the first official Bing App for iPhone and iPod touch. You can now download the free Bing App from your phone in the App Store, from your computer at iTunes, or go to m.bing.com and we will redirect you to the app store.

I just find it interesting that Microsoft is developing apps for the iPhone. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd now. Is Bing good enough to get Apple people to use it on their iPhone? I just really think this is a waste of time and resources for Microsoft. Spend more time on WinMo development. Thanks!
