Just a tidbit for those of you that are tablet fans.  Craig Pringle gives us a very short demo of a really cool feature incorporated into the Motion LE1700.  Craig explained that the video shows the auto-rotate feature, where the tablet uses an accelerometer to determine its orientation and rotates the display accordingly.  And he said that it works at a very shallow angle, or even when flat on the table...

To UMPC Makers, please, do not reinvent the wheel.

Posted by ctitanic (left mobilitysite) on Oct 31, 2007 | Leave a Comment

I know that by asking this I put myself in a very uncomfortable position of receiving an answer of ”We reinvent the wheel because we can” but after a lot of thinking I decided that somebody has to say it. If the Fujitsu U810 was just one centimeter wider then the keyboard would have became a useful keyboard. And here is the proof and here is why I said, please, do not reinvent the wheel, please...

Click on top of the picture to zoom it. The battery in the first picture is a AAA battery,...

What Craig Pringle thinks about Fujitsu U1010

Posted by ctitanic (left mobilitysite) on Oct 15, 2007 | Leave a Comment

Craig Pringle is a MVP in Tablet PCs, that said, his opinion about the Fujitsu U1010 is in one word, valuable.    Over all the U1010 is a very usable device.  There is a lot packed into this tiny package and every aspect of the design shows that it has been carefully thought out.  The price is very reasonable and performance is surprisingly snappy.  All told a solid offering. In my opinion...

This time she is writing about the Fujitsu U810.   This handy Ultra Mobile PC weighs a mere 1.56 pounds and is roughly the size of a paperback novel.  In fact if it were not for the battery it would be smaller than a paperback, which means it is both small enough and light enough to take with...
