Following up on the great video that Jack Cook provided earlier today, here are some Exclusive detailed screen-shots of the new v6.0 of GPS Tuner.
This GPS Land Navigation application looks totally slick with it’s sweet User Interface, which looks like it was totally redesigned since I saw it back in January of this year at CES2009. I don’t know about you, but I’m drooling over getting a copy of this...
I should probably let you know that when it comes to reviews I plan out myself, I usually focus on the positive. I am not the kind of guy that likes to write crushing reviews just for the thrill of the crush. Chances are, if I try out a piece of mobile software and it really sucks, I probably won’t waste any time writing out a review. That’s just how I roll. I just didn’t want anyone to get the wrong...

All they need to do is tie it to your credit card and Al Gore will be able to tax you directly.
Keeping track of your carbon footprint could become as simple as slipping a mobile phone in your pocket: a London-based start-up company has developed software for mobile phones that uses global positioning satellites to work out automatically whether you are walking, driving or flying and then calculate your impact on the...

My very 1st Bluetooth GPS receiver was from Pharos. It was one of those cool CF/Bluetooth models. I loved it an used it long after “more modern” models came out. Pharos has now drifted into more than just receivers. I wasn’t too fond of their 1st Integrated GPS Phone, but the two newest models that were leaked on Dell.com a while back sure look sexy.
For more info about these visit the 117 and 127...

A couple of years ago I reviewed OCN6 and gave it a pretty good rating. Now the folks at OnCourse Navigator have updated the software and maps, and the good news is that a good system is now even better. OCN8 has again raised the bar for routing and mapping applications.
Testing Environment
I tested OCN8 with a Dell Axim X51v with Lenny’s L11 ROM of WM6.1 and with an ETEN Glofiish X610 also running WM6.1. With...

I don’t know about you guys but personally I’m rather sick of hearing about the ‘wonderful’ iPhone 3g.(and I use the term wonderful loosely..) It’s everywhere you look, it’s the popular thing to talk about and I don’t quite get what it is about this phone that has everyone in such an uproar over?! The first iPhone didn’t come out that long ago, and the new iPhone doesn’t...

As a geek I’m guilty of perhaps not getting as much exercise as I need. Part of the problem is finding the time but that comes down to motivation. With the wonders of this socially networked age it’s easier to use technology to help with that motivation.
The geek in me likes stats. If I know I’m doing good, and overall improving against myself or friends then I have the incentive to keep going and doing better....

Lifecasting is a big thing at the moment. One step beyond blogging and tweeting is the ability to record and broadcast live video from a cellphone to share what you’re doing – and engage with your audience.
Qik is probably the best known of these, and is slowly rolling out an early beta service for Windows Mobile users. But Qik are not the only game in town – there are a couple of existing solutions that have great...

I caught this item on The Red Ferret Journal and thought it was a pretty cool item that you may like. Nav4All is a free gps navigation for your mobile phone! Yeah … FREE!! Available in 55 languages and is compatible with most handsets.
So will it be free forever? Maybe not but at least for the next couple of years it will be so I think it is worth looking at. What is huge (I think) is the ability...
