No, I haven’t given up on the iPhone or the Zune.

You may have noticed that I have shut down iPhoneMVP and GotZune. This isn’t because my interest in the devices has waned. This is mainly to streamline my online contributions. I was not able to spread my time evenly with all the spin offs. Much of what we cover on either of those sites was duplicated here at Mobilitysite anyhow.

Some might have noticed that my prized Zune, the special edition Orange Zune 30, has changed hands. If you didn’t don’t worry, one of our readers did. Grahm Skee of AnythingbutiPod is a more than adequate foster parent for this special needs Zune.

I have also been iPhone free for the last 2 weeks. I am not done with the iPhone, but these past 2 weeks have brought a barrage of other phones into my hands to test. For the last week strait, the HD2 has been my main phone too. It’s growing on me to be honest, but I still believe that I will be back to the iPhone 3GS when my time is up.

Now that I am nearing completion of the site redesign, I plan to get back into the 50 in 50 iPhone app review series I started at iPhoneMVP.

So, Zune and iPhone fans… I haven’t forgotten you.

HTC 2010 Roadmap Leaks? Is it real?

Is it real? Probably. HTC hasn’t been able to keep the lid on any of their phones for quite some time. About this time each year, it seems we get a roadmap for HTC, AT&T, and Verizon. Here is last year’s HTC 2009 Roadmap, did we see any real surprises?

Well, no real surprise here with 2010 around the corner, BGR has shared a roadmap discovered in the XDA Forums today.

Contests, Site Design. iPhone Life, and Ink blots!

Lot’s has happened in these past 2 days while I’ve been under the weather. Lots…

We’ve been ramping up for our 7th anniversary with some great contests. Make sure to get your entry in soon, the deadlines are December 12th, 2009. So far, we’ve posted contests to win 10 different phones!

I am not too sure what all we have left to put out there, but maybe some cases, some iTunes gift cards, and memory cards. Who knows?

I also wanted to mention that I am working on a new site design on the fly. There is more to be done, but the core is in place now. The goal was to be able to help the reader find content based on their interests much easier. There are separate RSS feeds for main subjects we cover too now. The main feed is still in place and remains ad free though.

iPhone Life Magazine. I just got some copies of the magazine today and my 1st article for them is inside. Page 56 has my article featuring former/present Windows Mobile Developers that have gone iPhone. It’s a decent article. I wrote an article or two for PPC Mag before they converted into iPhone Life, but this is the 1st one for the iPhone. I plan to write more in the future.

Last but not least, I was honored (I think) with an Ink Blot award from Warner Crocker in the Fifth Annual Life on the Wicked Stage Ink Blot Awards. Warner has be down for, “Best Geek I Follow on Twitter Even Though I Don’t Agree with What He/She Says Award”.

A Pre-Release Review of IliumSoft eWallet 7.0

Ilium Software, maker of software for both Windows and the PPC has crafted a new version of their popular program eWallet. Being a user of eWallet 6.x for a good six months I was interested to see what an upgrade to this handy utility might look like. Here’s what I found out about this neat application.

For a long time I have kept all of my personal information (passwords, account numbers and other information) all together in one place using the Contact List section of Microsoft Outlook. I did this for years and it was really pretty workable. By using Outlook I could keep everything in one place and even synchronize it with my PPC and/or phone and have it handy there too.
